Did you know? Our Logo meaning…
Did you know that the Feast of the Immaculate Conception has special meaning for the Catholic Business Journal? We are consecrated under the patronage of the Immaculate Conception, imitating St. Maximilian Kolbe, a patron of modern communication, in his unwavering devotion to the Immaculata. Further, our mission is to encourage other Catholic professionals at all levels, and in all fields of work, to do their part to bring Christ, Mary’s Divine Son, more fully into the workplace and into boardrooms. That significance is incorporated into our very branding logo, with its radiant Morning Star above the “a” in Catholic and radiating out to encompass the entire Catholic Business Journal name.
Why the radiant star? In the Litany to the Blessed Virgin Mary and elsewhere, Mary is referred to as “the Morning Star,” and in book of Revelation (Rev. 22:16, 17) Jesus refers to himself as “the bright morning star.” In creating a brand for the Catholic Business Journal that would capture our submission to the patronage of the Immaculata, and to Her Son, the morning star and its extended ray visually echo our founding mission and purpose.
